Mr. David White, 4th Degree (Owner and Head Instructor)

Mr. White began his Taekwon-Do training in 1992 in Vernon, BC with the Okanagan Valley Taekwon-Do School under the instruction of Mr. Keith Black. In 1994 David attended his first competition in Kelowna, BC and has been competing ever since.

In 1998 the Okanagan Valley Taekwon-Do School closed its doors for good and Mr. White, a red belt (1st Gup), moved his training over to the Central Taekwon-Do Academy and continued training toward his black belt which he earned in July, 1999.

In 2000 David was named to the British Columbia Junior Black Belt Team and represented the province at the Canadian Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan. Mr. White took home a silver and bronze medal in team competition.

While attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (S.A.I.T) in Calgary David continued his training with the Tempest Taekwon-Do School and the instruction of Mr. Dana Johnson. Mr. White achieved his 2nd degree black belt in 2004 after a panel test by his instructor and other Tempest black belt members.

Mr. White opened Sundance Taekwon-Do in September of 2004 while attending Okanagan College. This is where he achieved his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2006. This was also the year he achieved his 3rd Degree Blat Belt.

Mr. White was certified with his 4th Degree Black Belt in the summer of 2008.

Mr. Chris Rock, 4th Degree

Chris Rock joined Taekwon-do in 1995 under the instruction of Mr. Bobby Scott in Cochrane, Alberta.  Over the next few years, Chris moved onto two other instructors, Mr. Brad Kaeding and Mr. Dana Johnson.  Under Mr. Johnson, Chris began earned his 1st degree in February 2002.  After this he began to compete at a high level. In May 2002, Chris competed in the Canadian National Championships and won a gold medal in sparring, earning a place on the Canadian Junior national team.

In 2003, Mr. Johnson turned his Cochrane facility over to the instruction of Mr. Cam Macdonald.  Mr. Rock then successfully tested for his 2nd degree black belt in May 2004.  Durning this time, Mr. Rock began regular teaching with Trinity Taekwon-do and became the first full-time assistant instructor of the club in the fall of 2005.  In 2006, Chris was promoted to 3rd degree black belt.  Shortly after this, Chris began study at the University of British Columbia in Kelowna and began training under Mr. Michael Barker. In August 2008, Chris was promoted to 4th degree black belt at an examination in Calgary, Alberta.

Mr. Rock officially joined  the instructional team st Sundance Taekwon-do in the summer of 2008.
